Awesome news: “LOST” star Daniel Dae Kim has been cast to play Chin Ho Kelly in the pilot of the “Hawaii Five-O” remake!

Kim plays Jin-Soo Kwon on the popular ABC series, and I was thrilled to work as an extra in one of his scenes, even though it ended up that y0u only saw the back of me on the episode (you can see my face in a still on one of the extra scenes on a Season 4 DVD, haha). He has previously expressed a desire to put down roots in Hawai‘i, so if the remake is a success, that definitely means he could do so without sacrificing his acting career. In addition to acting, Kim also serves as part owner of The Counter here in Honolulu.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for extras casting for the new series — or at least for the pilot!
