One of the funniest situations I witnessed in Vegas occurred while I was standing in line for some iced tea (*gasp* not coffee!) at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the Palazzo.

I gathered from their conversation that the two young ladies behind me knew each other from working at the casino and that both were on break. One girl was just standing there, a tray full of tobacco products (cigars, cigarettes, snuff, etc.) hanging from her shoulders, and the other was browsing the store, wondering aloud about what she might want to snack on. The latter opted not to get a diet soda.

“Yeah, you don’t want diet soda,” affirmed her tobacco-toting friend. “That has aspartame in it. That stuff’ll kill ya.”

But, y’know, feel free to buy to a pack of cigarettes and all.
