December 2009 is one of those cool occasions in which we’ll have a two full moons during one calendar month. I captured the first of the two was last night using just a touch of digital zoom on my PowerShot SX10 IS . . .

. . . and a little of the same this morning over traffic on Waialae Avenue during my morning commute (so pardon the car in front of me, heheh):

Wish I could’ve captured the size of that morning moon a little better – it was looming pretty large near the western horizon – but I guess I’ll have to live with it as a memory. :o)

Unfortunately, this month’s blue moon occurs on December 31st, which means visibility will be extremely poor from pretty much every neighborhood on O‘ahu. Ahh, well. Good thing my fellow shutterbugs and I had the good fortune of a clear sky for this showing!
