Sunset from Hulopo‘e Beach, Lāna‘i

Tadaima! That’s Japanese for “I’m home!” You know what that means: Time for recaps!

As I mentioned, the hotel we were staying at, The Lodge at Koele, is one of two Four Seasons properties on Lāna‘i. The other is a beachfront property, The Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i at Manele Bay. We headed down to this sister property to check it out one afternoon and arrived by shuttle just in time to get situated on the beach for sunset. And what a sunset it was . . .

Apparently, we did experience the famous green flash . . . only, some of us were too busy shooting to see it. Ahh, well. :o)

Glad you are blogging again! Love these pictures. What was the occasion?

No particular occasion. We didn’t go to Japan this year, and I thought, “Hey, we haven’t been to Lāna‘i yet!” (My parents had gone, but I hadn’t – for shame!)
