The Lodge at Koele is decked out for the holidays, which is an especially welcome sight after having spent an entire – oh, OK, it was only 45 minutes on the plane, but it seemed like a much longer flight because it was dark and rainy out. Anyway, the decorations . . .

Who could resist having a drink near the tree? Clearly, not me – especially not when the chocolate martini comes with two kinds of Godiva liqueurs!

And who wouldn’t be intrigued by popcorn with truffle oil and parmesan cheese?

Yes, people, I came all the way to Maui County, and my first meal was . . . popcorn. Oh, well. We technically had Nico’s for dinner before we left Honolulu. :o)
